Cefn Garthenor has set aside around 10 acres as a nursery, comprising a polytunnel, beds and orchards.

Our horticultural lead, Jess Hill, began work on the project in spring 2024.  Jess trained in Wildlife Conservation and Regenerative Agriculture, which make her a great fit for Cefn Garthenor.  So, Jess mixes checking on progress of the rewilding project with running the nursery.

​

We have now collected seeds on site, prepared and propagated them and have trees, as well as wildflowers, ready to sell.  There is a real need for native species to be planted across our part of the world to ensure that a whole host of our indigenous biodiversity can thrive.  So, we hope to be able to spread the wonder of Cefn Garthenor well beyond our 210 acres!
